My love for motorsports started at a very early age. After many years as a fan and spectator, I decided to pursue my lifelong dream to race competitively. Attending serveral track days, a couple racing schools, Autocross, and Kart racing paved the way to obtaining my SCCA competition license in 2001. Moving to Spec Miata in 2003 was a no brainer at the time. The SM class had just started the year before in the Oregon region, and it was apparent that's where the fun was and that's where the fun is still today.
How long I've been racing: 6 years
Favorite driver: JP Montoya
What I like best about racing miatas: I love these cars, they are so easy to wrench and very durable compared to most other racecars. I love the people too, there is such a camaraderie among this group, and I cherish the time I spend at the track with my friends. And finally, I love the competition. SM is the most competitive class in the SCCA -- if one wants to be the best, one has to race with the best.
What other miata driver I most want to beat: The driver in 2nd place
Crew: Jeff Jenks
