Always been a big Indycar and F1 racing fan. Took a Skip Barber 3 Day competition course in '97 and loved it! Couldn't find a cheap enough way to go racing though. Bought a '90 Miata in 2000 and started doing track days with it in '01. Then Spec Miata came to SCCA in Portland in 2002. After watching that for a year I had to try it.
How long I've been racing: Started in March '03 and been to every Oregon Region SCCA event since.
Favorite driver: Al Unser Jr because he was fast and a genuinely nice guy.
What I like best about racing miatas: The people, the close racing, the fact that it takes very little maintenance, and passing all the Porches in the corners!
What other miata driver I most want to beat: Ken S. because he is the best and lately that young kid Andrew because he's about a third my age!
